Delegate & Professional Feedback

Feedback shared here reflects both participant experiences from Peritus Global Training courses and professional references from organisations and colleagues I have worked with in operational and security leadership roles, including experience gained prior to establishing Peritus Global Training.

Together, these perspectives reflect a consistent focus on practical risk management, staff safety, and effective decision-making in complex environments.

Dr C. Atrooshi
Senior Programme Manager –
International Humanitarian Organisation – Iraq

I had the privilege of working closely with Andy when he served as Country Security Manager for Iraq and Syria while I was Senior Programme Manager for Iraq.

Operating in complex and high-risk environments requires more than policies and procedures. It requires sound judgement, situational awareness, and the ability to translate security realities into practical decisions that enable programmes to continue safely. Andy consistently demonstrated this balance.

His security leadership was both policy-aligned and operationally enabling. Through practical risk assessments, clear mitigation strategies, and realistic scenario-based training, he strengthened our capacity to operate safely in volatile areas. Security was never presented as a reason to halt programme activity without analysis. Instead, he consistently focused on identifying threats, assessing risk proportionately, and developing practical mitigation measures that enabled safe continuation of operations wherever possible. This balanced approach strengthened both our duty-of-care posture and our ability to deliver on programme objectives.

Andy’s training and briefings were particularly valuable. They were grounded in real operational experience and focused on building decision-making capability rather than simply transferring information. Both national and international staff left better prepared to manage movement, respond to incidents, and adapt to evolving threats. This had a direct and positive impact on team confidence and programme continuity.

At senior management level, his guidance supported informed decision-making in dynamic contexts. His ability to engage collaboratively with programme leadership and external stakeholders ensured that security considerations were integrated into planning, rather than treated as a separate function.

I would not hesitate to recommend Andy’s expertise to organisations seeking practitioner-led security, risk management, and crisis management training grounded in real operational environments.

S. Qasim
Security & Safety Manager  –
International Humanitarian Organisation – Afghanistan

I worked closely with Andy and can confidently describe him as a highly capable security leader with strong operational judgement and a deep commitment to staff welfare.

During his time with us, Andy strengthened our security framework through crisis management planning, evacuation procedures, security assessments, and practical safety training for both national and expatriate staff. He supported the development of realistic security standards and safe movement practices across offices and operational areas.

His leadership fostered a professional and motivated working environment while maintaining constructive relationships with relevant security institutions. Andy consistently acted to safeguard both personnel and organisational reputation.

I would confidently recommend his expertise to organisations seeking to strengthen their security posture.

Bespoke Pre – Deployment Preparation

W. Rea
UK Veteran – Commercial Logistics Professional

“Prior to deploying overseas, I completed bespoke pre-deployment training tailored to my role. The course focused on structured risk assessment, movement planning, and realistic decision-making under pressure.

Within weeks of arrival in a conflict-affected region, I was actively applying the frameworks taught during the training.

One of the most valuable aspects was being educated on the right questions to ask before deployment and understanding what to realistically expect on the ground. That preparation reduced uncertainty and strengthened operational  confidence in a complex environment.

The training was professional, grounded in lived operational experience, and free from unnecessary theatrics.”
